Oklahoma City National Memorial
Built after the April 19, 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building which killed 168 people and injured many more. The field of empty chairs represents the people who died, 19 smaller chairs stand for the children lost. The twin gates frame the moment of destruction, the east gate, 9:01 am and the west gate, 9:03 am.
