About Greg Burns
GREG BURNS does finely detailed ink and watercolor artwork. This media cannot be altered easily once it’s committed to paper. It’s the decisiveness he loves and the way the watercolor makes the picture come alive. Landscapes, interior scenes, and landmark structures are some of his favorite subjects. Greg has traveled widely and has originals, giclee prints, and color prints from Oklahoma, Florida, Colorado, Europe, and Africa. His work is admired and collected throughout this country and abroad.
Born with Arthrogryposis in 1947, a muscle and joint disease which affects the use of his arms and legs. He draws cradling the pen in his hand, and watercolors by holding the brush in his teeth. Greg has spent all his energy attacking life, inspiring by example the rights and opportunities of disabled persons. He received a BFA in Fine Art from the University of Oklahoma in 1971. Greg has won numerous art competitions and awards beginning in elementary school. He received the Governor’s Art Award for Oklahoma in 1978 and was a member of the OK State Arts Council and the Oklahoma City Arts Commission. He is featured in an exhibit at the Oklahoma Heritage Association Museum in Oklahoma City.
This website displays all his available artwork. It provides easy and convenient access to ordering both prints and original paintings. Greg paints many special commissions for clients’ homes, office buildings, and other subjects.
